Resolve platform, timing and contents in that order

Before comparing skins or collector’s objects, identify the machine and storefront you will use. Then establish the access date for that format. Only then compare the extras. This order prevents a more expensive edition from looking like a solution to a platform mismatch or a later disc delivery.

A product name alone is not enough to establish ownership. Keep track of whether you are looking at a base game, an upgrade, a physical copy or a promotional bundle. The checkout and receipt for your account are the relevant records if an entitlement later needs support.

Platforms and formats have different boundaries

The official launch platforms are PC through Steam and Epic, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The physical announcement is narrower: PS5 and Xbox Series X. It does not add a PC disc or turn a digital-only console into a disc-compatible machine.

If you are searching for a PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Mac or Linux release, those are not platforms established by the cited launch announcement. Do not infer a native version simply because a store can be opened on that device. Similarly, a PC store feature is not automatically a console feature.

Three dates explain most launch confusion

The standard digital unlock is September 8, 2026 at 9 AM Pacific. Digital Deluxe early access began September 4 at the same hour. Physical editions are announced for October 6. These are not three conflicting reports about one release; they refer to different access conditions.

The release guide converts the digital hour and flags the weekday error in the announcement. Use the numeric date and time instead of copying the mistaken weekday into a calendar. For a physical order, also distinguish the announced release date from the retailer’s delivery estimate.

If the game is in your library but not playable, compare your actual edition with the correct window before reinstalling. A Standard entitlement during the Deluxe head start is an access question. A crash after the game opens is a separate technical question.

Promotional words need a specific object

“Early access,” “advance access” and “exclusive” can refer to different things in these announcements. The Deluxe head start concerns when the game can be played. A physical cosmetic advance unlock concerns when an appearance becomes available to that purchaser rather than through a challenge. Phantom’s digital pre-order condition is another separate promise.

Ask what noun follows the promotional phrase. Access to the game? Access to an appearance? A character? A physical object? Comparing those as if they were interchangeable is how a buyer ends up expecting a September head start from an October box.

The edition comparison keeps the contents together so you can inspect the differences directly. It does not assume a collector’s package contains every digital extra, and it does not describe every cosmetic as permanently exclusive.

A PC requirement is a baseline, not a benchmark

The publisher lists Windows 11, DirectX 12 and SSD storage alongside memory and graphics categories. Its CPU rows use broad platform families, and its performance annotations use 30 fps. That is enough to make a preliminary comparison, but not enough to promise a particular graphics preset or a locked 60 fps on every listed model.

Read the system-requirements article with your exact CPU and GPU names available. If a part does not match the language used in the store table, do not force it into a category because the names look similar. Laptop variants, older CPUs on the same socket and different cards in one series need more specific evidence.

For a significant hardware purchase, seek a test of the actual configuration at the resolution you want. This wiki’s requirements page explains the official baseline; it is not a shopping list or an unperformed performance review.

Check the kind of play your group actually wants

The game includes the 1v4 multiplayer structure and a standalone Michael story, and the developer also mentions private AI matches. Those options may suit different players in the same group. Someone wanting a shared story campaign should not read a multiplayer co-op tag as confirmation of one.

Xbox lists cross-platform capabilities, but that does not establish shared progression or a licence that follows you between stores. If moving between machines matters, verify the specific transfer you need rather than asking only whether crossplay exists.

Keep purchase support separate from gameplay support

A missing purchase entitlement begins with the receipt and exact store product. A technical failure begins with the build, device and reproducible symptom. Sending the wrong kind of evidence makes either question harder to resolve.

Before sharing a receipt or screenshot, remove payment information, personal addresses and account details that are not needed for the support request. Use the original seller for order questions and the developer’s official support entry for game behavior.

For an issue already named in a hotfix, check the current installation before repeating an old workaround. The fixes section records what the developer actually said was addressed and preserves the distinction between a published fix and a universal guarantee.
