Follow the film sequence through Laurie’s escape
Set up a dedicated movie-sequence attempt
Keep this run focused on Challenge 6 rather than combining every Chapter 4 objective. Bryce’s chapter segment starts with additional resident kills for other challenges; Stalky Boi separates the movie attempt from those objectives. Do not copy the extra kills as a requirement for this challenge. Story spoilers follow.
1. Deal with Lester and lock Annie’s laundry-room door
At the Wallace house, use the Lester interaction before Annie reaches this part of her routine. Then lock the laundry-room door while Annie is inside. Allow her window exit and the following phone call and keys routine to play out. Do not replace that sequence with an early grab.
Stalky Boi demonstrates a failed interaction prompt around Lester before restarting the sequence. If your prompt disappears or Annie reacts before the intended interaction, record that as the point where your attempt diverged; do not assume the later car scene repairs it. Patch 1.0.1 includes fixes for disappearing interaction prompts and grabs unexpectedly alerting an unaware victim, but does not identify this challenge as fully repaired.
2. Use Annie’s car encounter and hide her upstairs
Wait through Annie’s return for the keys, then use the car ambush interaction when she reaches the vehicle. Both walkthroughs use the car sequence rather than killing her on the way there. Afterward, carry her upstairs and use the closet hiding interaction.
Stalking Annie beforehand is part of the demonstrated preparation. However, the creators do not establish that a particular Annie stalk tier is a separate hidden requirement for Challenge 6. Follow the shown setup and available prompts without turning that uncertainty into a guarantee.
3. Stalk Bob and Lynda, then pin Bob to the wall
Hide in the closet while Bob and Lynda are together and build their stalk levels. Both creators use this wait to prepare the later executions. Let their scene and upstairs movement finish; wait for Bob to come downstairs alone.
Grab Bob out of Lynda’s view and take him to the kitchen wall for the pinning execution. Use the specific execution prompt rather than a generic kill. Take his glasses afterward: the next encounter uses them with the sheet.
Stalky Boi closes the bedroom door and lets Bob turn left before grabbing him, reporting that this avoids alerting Lynda. Treat that as his timing tip, not a proven universal delay. If the grab alerts her, note it as a route deviation before comparing later steps.
4. Put on the sheet and glasses for Lynda
Collect the bedroom sheet after taking Bob’s glasses. Use the disguise for Lynda’s bedroom encounter and follow the telephone sequence into its special execution. Do not substitute an ordinary attack because the target is already within reach.
Afterward, bring the bodies upstairs and complete the staging interactions. Both creators prepare that display before Laurie arrives. They also switch lights off during preparation, but neither establishes that every light must be off to qualify.
5. Let Laurie discover the bodies and escape
Stalk Laurie as she approaches and allow her to go upstairs and discover the staged bodies. In both walkthroughs, Michael then attacks, grabs and releases her so she escapes to the other house. The point of this part is to continue the scripted pursuit, not finish her at the first opportunity.
Follow her into the next house and continue the hiding-place encounters and counterattacks. Bryce opens the upstairs closet and grabs as Laurie stands, leading to the coat-hanger attack. Continue the chapter’s ending with Loomis rather than quitting as soon as an animation resembles the movie.
The creators describe credit at different moments: Stalky Boi says it registered during an earlier Laurie counterattack, while Bryce associates it with the upstairs encounter. This does not establish one guaranteed popup frame. Finish the sequence, then inspect the challenge list and the Chapter 5 unlock separately.

Requirements that the evidence does not settle
Do not add a checklist of unverified rules to an already long run. The cited material does not establish that you must turn off every light, kill unrelated residents, avoid every Shape Jump or change to Hard difficulty. Bryce explicitly frames avoiding Shape Jump during Laurie’s pursuit as a personal assumption. Stalky Boi similarly questions whether some stalking and power actions are required.
Community replies also disagree about exact attack counts and report missing credit after apparently matching attempts. If you followed the sequence but received no award, save the objective screen and record the build, difficulty, interaction failures and the last scripted event reached. Use Challenges Not Tracking for missing credit; use Progress Not Saving if the chapter also repeats or the next chapter remains locked.
Frequently asked questions
Is the movie-accurate objective Chapter 4 Challenge 6?
Yes. This page covers the film-sequence objective in The Babysitters. It does not cover all six challenges or require the extra resident kills shown earlier in some all-challenges videos.
Why are Bob’s glasses important?
Both walkthroughs take the glasses after the wall execution and combine them with the sheet for Lynda’s encounter. A generic Bob kill skips the demonstrated setup.
Should I kill Laurie as soon as the objective says to?
For the movie sequence, the demonstrated route lets her discover the bodies, escape and trigger the subsequent counterattacks. An early generic kill does not reproduce those events.
Do I have to switch off every light?
The recordings include lighting changes but do not establish an all-lights-off completion condition. Keep that separate from the ordered character interactions.
Does a missing Challenge 6 award mean Chapter 4 did not save?
Not necessarily. Compare Challenge 6, the chapter completion and the Chapter 5 unlock separately. The tracking and progress-saving guides cover those different symptoms.
